KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday accepted the NOCs provided by
allrounder Abdul Razzaq and batsman Mohammad Yousuf and now both these
cricketers will be available for selection for the national team.
Yousuf and Abdul Razzaq submitted the NOCs getting from the Indian Cricket
League, a rebel Indian cricket league, after which the PCB has decided to clear
both players to be selected for the national team, an official said.
The Board has decided each case in individual capacity under directives from the
ICC and both players were not fined or banned.
Though Mohammad Yousuf and Abdul Razzaq cannot become a part of the Twenty20
World Cup squad but they are expected to be included in the national team for
the tour of Sri Lanka after the World Cup.
The pair were among 23 players who defected to the unrecognised Indian Cricket
League (ICL) and were thus barred from playing in and for Pakistan at any level. |
