It seems that with the poor films been churned out
these days by Lollywood, most of the Lollywood stars have finally bade farewell
to Lollywood and trying their luck on tube. Resham who started her acting career
with tube 12 years back has finally made a come back entry to the tube by acting
in Dailwar Malik's Banjar, a serial opposite Moammar Rana. In a recent meeting
with Nation Plus, the lass was of the very view that she is no more signing any
bad projects and movies and that is why she has finally signed up this play, 'I
am leaving all such movies, that is why I wanted my return to tube after so many
years in a very powerful character. Dilawar Malik's Banjar has given me the
character and the powerful comeback that I have been looking for. I am playing
the character of a lawyer who is looking forward to providing the justice to the
society in large. It is to be noted here that Resham is one of the few actresses
who have been in the limelight for so long and have experienced super stardom
and its downfall quite a lot of times that is the very reason that she is so
careful in signing her projects this time. Having been a major flop in the last
four year when she gave 40 flops in a row containing 34 Punjabi and 6 Urdu, this
year she is quite cautious about her films.
Resham blamed many top notch producers and directors for not giving good films
and sticking to the routine formula flicks which have now make the conditions of
Lollywood worst than ever, 'We need young people who are educated enough to take
up risks and new subjects and work over them. Uptill the time we will not work
over such different themes which can bring our viewers back to cinema houses,
till then we can't bring out any change in the Lollywood.' There were airs that
she is also stepping into direction but Resham clearly refused, 'No, I have no
such plans, I want to be a good actress at first, direction would come way after
that. We were banking a lot on new directors like Faheem Burney, Zeba Bakhtiar,
Samina Peerzada and Asif ali Pota but all of them have disappointed us at large.
That is why I have no such plans for a long time'. |
