Color: Bulldogs are mostly available in brindle, solid white, red or fawn colors
or with any of the other colors splashed on white background. Experts advise to
buy bulldogs in beige, piebald, brindle and white hues.
Nature: Considered a fighting dog originally, Bulldogs are intelligent, simple,
gentle, affectionate, sensitive, fearless, bold and can be trained easily. In
summers, it prefers an air-conditioned house. It is quite friendly to other
dogs, household pets and children. Though, some of them are cautious with
strangers, they are mostly friendly to everyone. It requires consistent training
and is sensitive to the voice of the trainer.
Grooming: Rubber brush to remove dead hair, when the dog is shedding, is needed.
Occasional application of a special lotion along the facial folds is needed to
keep them clean.
Exercise: This dog breed adapts itself to the activity level of the family,
though it needs sufficient rest for the development of healthy bones, muscles
and joints. Light exercise is enough to keep it healthy.
