Samsung has launched yet another mobile phone in the markets of India, thereby
widening the horizons for its customers. Samsung i550 is a smart-phone, which is
packed with multimedia capabilities and fast internet speed. The phone comes
with quad band HSPDA connectivity. It runs on Symbian OS 9.2, enabling effective
internet usage and data download facilities. The cell phone also has exclusive
features like GPS navigator function, voice activated turn-by-turn guidance,
making it easy for car drivers to find directions while pedestrian mode offers
specific locations and directions at walking speeds.
Design
Samsung i550 has an elegant body, which resembles a candy bar, making it
comfortable for gripping. The phone has petite dimensions 115 x 53 x 13.8 mm and
weighs merely 109 g. The front panel has a trackball to navigate across the
various options. The 2.6 inch TFT LCD screen displays images in 256K colors with
a resolution of 240X320 pixels. Moreover, the phone is available in two chic
colors, black and silver. The hardware buttons for operation include S60 key, a
Web key and a GPS key. It has a camera capture button on the side of the memory
card slot for easy usage.
