the Nokia 6131 has definitely paved the way for betterment. Though one may not
really call it ‘slim’ in the crowd of sleek Motorola and Samsung phones, Nokia
6131 definitely doles out an impressive design and an appreciable performance.
It has an external display screen, a 1.3 MP camera, stunning internal screen
display, etc. It is available in four colors - Black, White, Red and Sand.
Design
The design is simple, elegant and gives a classic yet a contemporary look. The
phone is big, compared Nokia 6131to ultra thin cell phones that are available in
the market. The phone weighs around 112 grams which makes it quite sturdy to
hold, but won’t really feel heavy. The design is such that the upper flap is
slightly smaller than the lower flap and its end rests at the edge of the lower
flap, making it quite interesting to look at! The keypad is easy to use and the
leather-like finish on the cell phone makes it really soft to touch. The
short-cut buttons for camera and volume are placed at the right spots, though
the power button is at the side, causing a bit of confusion to those accustomed
to the top button.

The Nokia 6131 comes loaded with a wide range of multimedia as well as business
related features. The color display of the screen deserves a special mention
here. With a 16.7 million color display, the screen looks fascinating and
vibrant. The 1.3 mega-pixel camera comes with an 8x digital zoom, but there is
no flash. The pictures are quite good with rich color and contrast. While the
camera is on, you can shut the flap and take a self-portrait. You can increase
the internal memory by adding a microSD card for storing photos and music. The
phone also has FM radio for all those who love listening to the radio while
doing other work. The battery is impressive enough with a talk time of more than
3 hours and stand-by time of 240 hours. This is definitely one of the best
clam-shell phones from the Nokia pavilion that boasts of not just style but
performance as well.
