MotoROKR U9 is the latest cell phone to be launched in India by Motorola. The
Motorola MotoROKR U9 looks like the MotoPEBL and has a LCD display and
vibration-feedback touch controls on the outside, much like the MotoRAZR2. The
handset has got 25MB of internal memory and supports extra memory through the
microSD card slot. It has also got EDGE support for fast data transfer as well.
Design
The MotoROKR U9 sure looks good. It measures in at 90 x 48.6 x 16.4 mm, and
weighs in at just 87.5g. The internal/ main screen of the phone is 2" in size
and has QVGA resolution. It displays 256k colors. Apart from the beautiful
internal screen, it has also got a second external OLED display that is capable
of displaying 65k colors on the screen. The picture quality of the display is
brilliant, while the brightness and contrast, both are impressive as well.
The flip-type construction of the phone feels quite sturdy not to mention quite
good as far as the quality is concerned. The battery life of the phone is about
350 hours in stand-by mode while it provides about 7 hours of talk-time.
Features
The MotoROKR U9 has a 2-megapixel camera which sports some decent features.
Apart from the standard settings like settings for brightness/ contrast and
various scene modes, it can also shoot video clips as well.
It has also got a neat feature which is titled 'Crystal Talk'. It is one of the
most advanced technologies around for the best voice quality which other
manufacturers can only dream of at the moment. Most users of Crystal Talk
comment about the clarity. It is as good as a fixed landline phone, which is not
bad at all.
All in all, it can be safely said that Motorola has added a great cell phone in
its line up with the release of the MotoROKR U9. It has got a brilliant
hardware, coupled with stable software.
