Centranthus (Red Valerian) - It blooms for about 3 - 4 months. Unlike Achillea,
it prefers dry undernourished soil. Though it grows on summer season but the
flowering lasts longer in winter season. In warm regions it blooms in spring and
summer time bloom depends on the plant. It directly grows from seeds and if you
cut a branch of it and sow somewhere it denies growing. Regular trimming is
necessary for the healthy growth of the plant. The flower type is Centranthus
ruber 'Albus'
Coreopsis (Tickseed) - The blooming span of this flower is three months. Though
they don't need much care but they live for a short time. They grow from seeds
directly or you can cut the branches and replant them at a new place. Flower
buds are all over the plant stem and you should trim the plants 1/3 to grow the
new flowers. The types of flower in this perennial type are Coreopsis
Verticillata 'Zagreb', 'Golden Showers', Grandiflora 'Early Sunrise'.
