Whenever we talk of special days we think of festival and celebration. And gifts
are an indispensable part of all celebration. It's shows the love and concern
for your near and dear ones. Special days like Father's day, Mother's day and
Grandparent's day are celebrated to symbolize their importance in our lives. So
it should be celebrated in such a manner that they should feel special on this
particular day. And to make them feel special pamper them with gifts, which they
will cherish throughout their lives. For instance Father's day is a day of
commemoration and celebration of Dad. It is a day to not only honor your father,
but make them understand how important is he in your life. So giving gifts to
him is one way making him understand that how much concern you are about him. It
is the special day for the special man and a wonderful opportunity to show your
love and appreciation.
Just as father's day, mother's day too is a very special day. Mother's Day is a
time of commemoration and celebration for Mom. One the best way to celebrate
Mother's Day is to give your mom the day off. Let her take it easy and relax
while the rest of the family does the work. Many families begin Mother's Day
with breakfast in bed. Usually Dad and the Kids will let mom sleep late as they
go into the kitchen and prepare her favorite meal. A Mother's Day breakfast can
consist of anything your mom likes. You can also prepare a special dinner for
her. It is the day when she feels very special and loved. The best way to make
her happy is by giving her something, which she wants to buy and you can afford
it. Grandparent's day is the only day of the year set aside to honor our
grandparents. It is time to celebrate those special people who are always there
with us in thick and thin. If you can, enjoy the day with them. That is the
greatest gift they can receive from you. If you can't see them, call them. It is
celebrated on the first Sunday after Labor Day. The day is observed much the
same as Mother's Day or Father's Day. Visiting, gift giving and remembrances
mark the occasion. It is the day to make them feel that are very much part of
our life and it is their love, affection and blessing, which brightens everyday
of our life. The festival of Halloween is celebrated with great enthusiasm and
excitement. The custom of Halloween was brought to America in the 1840's by
Irish immigrants fleeing their country's potato famine. It is the festival of
fun and frolic. As people throw party on horror themes, wears scary costumes,
decorate their house in spooky manner. They also exchange gifts with their near
and dear ones. Halloween is the real time for fun and enjoyment.
Talking about special days and festivals how can we forget Christmas, the
greatest celebration. Christmas is the time for celebration; the festival of
Christmas has a special significance in everyone's life. It is the time for
caroling, gifting and merry making. Christmas gifts are a vital part of this
celebration. You have to choose gifts according to the person whom you are
gifting. Easter is another such festival, which is celebrated with great pomp
and fervor. The celebration of Easter is the celebration of the triumph of life
over death. Dedicated to the honor of Christ who gave his life for the sins of
His loved ones, it is a great festival to the Christians all over the world. It
is joyous because it was on Easter He had shown himself. Most Christians observe
Easter on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the first day of
spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Meanwhile, the eastern Orthodox Churches
celebrate Easter later because of additional factors in calculating the date of
Easter.
Other days like Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Parents Day, New Year's Day,
Boss Day and Passover all has a special significance as each of the day is
celebrated because of some specific reason. So gifts will be accordingly
selected for every occasion. As gifts forms an integral part of every special
day so each of the gift will be such that it reflects the real emotions and
feeling of that particular day.
