She acts tough and sometimes too harsh, on herself and others. She comes across as a vamp, a bimbo, who knows nothing in life. When she is put as a player in a football team headed by her father, she goes through things that change her life completely and for the better. The coach of the team (male protagonist) is very cocky and comes across as cold as Phoebe is, but after spending time together, they find each other attracted towards one another. The readers get to see a side of Phoebe that is very touching and what made her so harsh and cold. A great novel to read, and trust that love can do anything.
