Choice of baby clothing is unlimited. But your budget is limited, so you will
have to look for things that fit your purse and you like. But there are some
things that you must keep in mind while shopping for babies' clothes. Babies do
not like their clothes being changed often. Choose clothes that are easy to
change and simple to put on and remove. Clothes that stretch and have a wide
neck are best. Clothes that open in front and have poppers are easier. Buttons
can come off and the baby can swallow them. When ties come off you will have to
sow them on again so avoid clothes with them. Nappies should open around the
crotch. Avoid lace as the babies can get their fingers caught in lace. Use
natural fiber, cotton is the best, it is soft on their skin and comfortable. The
clothes should not have rough stitching. Clothes that do not need ironing are
best. Babies grow out of their clothes quickly, so you may not want to buy too
many. But you must have enough clothes so that you do not end up having to wash
them frequently. For a newborn you may need:
* Six to eight stretch suits (3to 4 first size and 3 to 4 second size). Always
buy according to weight not age.
* Two nightgowns those are more comfortable and easy to put on and take off than
stretch suits and hence make changing nappies easier at night.
* Four sleeveless vest with poppers under the crotch to prevent them from riding
up.
* Three pairs of socks
* Three cardigans
* For summer a sunhat and a light jacket
* For winters warm hat, mittens and snow suit.
This is a basic wardrobe for your newborn.
