KANDAHAR: A suicide attack on a military convoy killed a US-led soldier and 11
Afghans in south Afghanistan Friday, a day ensuing a gargantuan employment to
force Taliban rebels for a key stronghold.
The convoy was driving in a crowded bazaar in the bothered province of Helmand
when it was hit by small-arms fire and later an insurgent detonated explosives
strapped to his body, lawmakers said.
Separately, two US-led coalition troops got killed Thursday in an deployment
against insurgents in Helmand, the country's primary opium inflating area,
additonally nine individuals died in clashes the western province of Farah.
There was no immediate regard of responsibility for any of the incidents, but
the Taliban had vowed to launch suicide incidents to avenge their week's big
