KARACHI: The value of rupee in the inter-bank today appreciated
by paisa 50, as dollar closed at Rs78.95.
Forex market dealers attributed appreciation in the value of rupee to
diminishing demand for dollar and current account deficit. International market
falling crude price was one more reason for the appreciation in value of rupee.
It may be recalled that dollar had closed at the end of the previous week at
Rs79.45. On the other hand, dollar in the open market is being sold at Rs80 and
bought at Rs79.
