SINGAPORE: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) is seeking up to 60,000 tonnes of
gasoline for June-July delivery, a tender document showed on Monday, the latest
of tenders over recent months which traders said were to plug a production gap.
PSO, which is not a regular gasoline importer, is looking to buy 30,000 tonnes
of 87-octane grade gasoline for arrival during June-July on a cost-and-freight
(C&F) basis to Karachi, plus another optional 30,000 tonnes.
Trade sources had said PSO was importing gasoline due to lower refinery runs in
the country but reasons for the lower operating rates were not clear. The tender
closes on Friday with validity until June 9. PSO last sought via tender two
weeks ago 60,000 tonnes of June-July gasoline but ended up buying only 30,000
tonnes. |
