Porsche Boxster is a two-seater roadster, blending style with sporty
performance. The car is a beauty and it possesses a commanding presence on the
road. The car is equipped with state-of-the-art engineering, boasts of plush
interiors, which are well complemented by its attractive exteriors.
Design and Interiors
The retractable soft top can be opened and closed within 12 seconds. Design of
the exterior is quiet distinctive, which is complemented by the Boxster hood
system. A hardtop, made of sturdy aluminum, is available as an option for both
the models of the convertible. Both the seats electronically adjustable,
providing a high level of comfort to the passengers.
All instruments and controls are placed within easy reach of the driver. The
steering wheel can also be adjusted. The designers have carried the elegance of
exteriors to its interiors. The saloon is elegant, luxurious and roomy. The
steering wheel, center console, doors, dash and gear shift knob have been wooden
finish. Luggage compartments are quite spacious.
Variants and Price
The car comes in two variants - Porsche Boxster and Porsche Boxster S. Boxter is
priced at Rs 46 lakh while Porsche Boxter can be bought at Rs 53 lakhs.
Safety
A host of active and passive features have been loaded in the car. The active
safety is ensured by Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system, found as a
standard feature in both, Boxster and Boxster S models. Both the models are
equipped with head and thorax air bags, ensuring high level of protection for
passengers. Boxster S variant has the option of Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes
(PCCB).
Engine
The car has 2.7-liters, 6 cylinders engine that develops a power of 240 bhp @
6400 rpm. Porsche Boxster S is equipped with 3.2-liters, 6 cylinders engine that
generates an output of 280 bhp @ 6200 rpm.
