Mercedes Benz E Class is nothing less than a luxury cabin running on the
road. The car flaunts all attributes associated with brand Mercedes Benz. The E
class has additionally-designed and spruced-up style enhancements to accentuate
the Mercedes-Benz merchandise.
Design and Interior
Dual Control air suspension system irons out the bumps on the road. With the
help of electronics, you can fix the damping stages. On poor surfaces the body
can be raised manually by 25mm. Use of Adaptive Damping System means that body
roll is automatically reduced when cornering, providing added driving pleasure.
If the sensors detect a sporty driving style, the comfort-oriented basic
suspension set-up itself adjusts to become more rigid.
The car also features all-round self-leveling suspension. If the system detects
high speeds, it lowers the body to reduce wind resistance. The car has
ventilated luxury seats with integrated head restraints and backrest contours.
An optional memory system in the car can memorise the position of the driver’s
seat, the steering column and the exterior mirrors.
Variants and Price
Mercedes Benz E-Class is available in four variants - E240 AT, E270 CDI, E200 K
Classic, and E200K Elegance. All versions are priced around Rs 43 lakhs.

* The 200K petrol engine churns out a power of 158 PS @ 5500 rpm and a peak
torque of 221 Nm @ 3500 rpm.
* The 280 Petrol engine produces an output of 231 PS @ 6300 rpm and a torque of
282 Nm @ 2500 rpm.
* 280 CDI diesel engine delivers a maximum power of 196 PS @ 4000 rpm and torque
of 456 Nm @ 1400 rpm.
* V6 petrol engine delivers a power of 201 hp @ 6100 rpm and a peak torque of
245 Nm @ 5500 rpm.
* 2.15L 4-in-line engine produces a power of 168 hp @ 3700 rpm and a torque of
410 Nm @ 2000 rpm.
* V8 engine produces a power of 514 hp @ 6800 rpm with a peak torque of 630 Nm @
5200 rpm.
Safety
The driver and passenger airbags have been equipped with two-stage gas
generators. The triggering of the two activation stages depends on the severity
of the accident. Thanks to newly designed 4-link front suspension, the car has
more precise wheel location and tyre vibrations. The car is equipped with Brake
Drying system which removes the moisture from the brake discs when the
windscreen wipers are activated, ensuring shorter stopping distances.
